Privacy Policy

1. What I collect

I only collect what is needed to run the Site and respond to you:

• Account details — if you create an account: your email address, a public nickname, and a securely hashed password (your password is never stored in plain text).
• Contact messages — if you use the contact form: your name (optional), email address, and the message you send.
• Game scores — if you play StarshipEscape while signed in: your score and the nickname shown on the public scoreboard (never your email).
• CV requests — if you ask to receive the CV by email: the email address you provide, used only to send the CV.
• Basic technical data — standard information such as your IP address and browser type, processed by the hosting and security providers below to keep the Site running and secure.

2. How I use your information

Your information is used to:

• Provide accounts, sign-in, and the game scoreboard.
• Respond to messages you send through the contact form.
• Send you the CV when you request it.
• Keep the Site secure and working, and prevent abuse.

I do not sell your data, and I do not use it for advertising.

3. Cookies

The Site uses only essential cookies needed to sign you in and keep your session active. If spam-protection (Cloudflare Turnstile) is enabled on a form, it may set cookies to tell humans from bots. The Site does not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

4. Who processes your data

To run the Site I rely on a small number of trusted service providers, who process data on my behalf:

• Supabase — database and authentication (stores accounts, messages, and scores).
• Vercel — hosting and delivery of the Site.
• Cloudflare — spam and bot protection on forms, where enabled.
• Google (Gmail) — used to send emails such as the CV and account-related messages.

These providers may process data outside your country. I only share what is necessary for them to provide their service.

5. How long I keep it

I keep your information only for as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected — for example, while your account is active, or while I respond to and follow up on your message. You can ask me to delete your data at any time (see below).

6. Your rights

You can ask to access, correct, or delete the personal data I hold about you, or to close your account. To make a request, get in touch through the contact page and I will handle it promptly.

7. Security

I take reasonable measures to protect your data — including hashed passwords, encrypted connections (HTTPS), and access controls on the database. No method of transmission or storage is ever completely secure, but I work to keep your information safe.

8. Children

The Site is not directed at children under 13, and I do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has provided information, please contact me and I will remove it.

9. Changes to this policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. The “last updated” date above shows when it last changed. Significant changes will be reflected on this page.
